What the Apostle John foresaw in the vision was the Papacy of Rome rising from the 3rd and 4th centuries as a beast and hiding behind the most deceptive, corrupted and longest-lasting "Christian" masquerade [ 'as a lamb' ] right up until today's final End Times.
